The Child Well Being Coalition was started in 2010 with a group of community organizations coming together to draft a community assessment and strategic plan.
In 2011, steps were taken and the coalition was officially formed. The coalition received funding from the Nebraska Child Abuse Prevention Fund (NCAPF) through the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation (NCFF). The goal of the Child Well Being Coalition collaborative and its partners is to promote positive protective factors for families to prevent child abuse and neglect.
In 2014, the coalition was renamed Zero 2 Eight Child Well Being Coalition.
In 2017, as the statewide groups expanded their focus beyond youth, the name changed to Zero 2 Eight Community Well Being Coalition.
In Fall 2018, the process was started to become a standalone 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This allowed for the change in the Coalition’s name. Community and Family Partnership (CFP) better reflects the focus on community and family as a whole.
In February 2020, we completed the process of obtaining our status of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to assist children, youth, and families to be healthy and resilient through a prevention network of community resources.
